The download speed is about 6mbps whereas I have a 2GBPS connection. I have reset the modem by powering it off and then on after 30 seconds. Can someone tell me what is happening please?

In brampton area near steeles and financial drive internet is neing interrupted every few minutes. And no one has done anything aboit it till monday evening of May 2...
We got it is handled but it is not. Could not work properly whole day. Such a shame.
